A 50-year-old man wanted for cultivating 1,600 narcotic plants has been arrested in Shkodra. The citizen with the initials Gj. Ç. was placed in handcuffs.

The Shkodra Court had assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison" for the criminal offense of "Cultivation of narcotic plants".

The police statement states that this person, in collaboration with his family, cultivated 1,600 narcotic plants on the land near their home, in the village of Aliaj, which were found and destroyed in September of this year.

Shkodër DVP/1 citizen who was wanted is arrested.

The 50-year-old man is accused of cultivating 1,600 narcotic plants, in collaboration with his family members, near their home in the village of Aliaj.

The narcotic plants were found and destroyed by the Police services in September.

Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section detained citizen Gj. Ç., 50 years old, after the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Shkodër assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Cultivation of narcotic plants", committed in collaboration.

From the investigations carried out, it is suspected that this citizen, in collaboration with his family, cultivated 1,600 narcotic plants on the land near their residence, in the village of Aliaj, which were found and destroyed by the Police services, on 06.09.2025.

The procedural materials were referred to the Shkodra Prosecutor's Office for further action. / CNA
