The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has closed the case of the death of Lear Kurti, an event that occurred in October 2022, after finding no violation by the police. 

According to the investigation, it turned out that the death was caused by an overdose of narcotics.

It is learned that the request of the prosecution together with the results of the investigation has been submitted to the court.

We recall that Lear Kurti died on October 20, 2022 at the hands of the police. After the serious incident, the family members filed charges against the State Police. 

During the pursuit by the police, the 32-year-old had with him a dose of cocaine, which he is thought to have swallowed for fear of being arrested./ CNA
