Mati police have arrested a 23-year-old man with the initials AM, who was walking around armed with a firearm.

During the search, a pistol firearm, military ammunition, a fuse, a detonator capsule and the "Benz" type vehicle in which the young man was driving were seized. 

Police notification: 

He was walking around armed with a firearm, and to avoid police control, he threw the weapon from the vehicle onto the terrace of a bar, thanks to the quick actions of the police, the perpetrator was identified, caught and put in handcuffs.

Seized as material evidence is a pistol firearm, combat ammunition, fire-conducting fuse and a detonator capsule.

Following the controls defined in the "Rule of Law" operational plan, for the capture of persons who are circulating with firearms, based on information intelligence, the Police services have received information that the driver of a vehicle was moving armed, have raised checkpoint for locating the vehicle.

When the driver of the vehicle found the checkpoint, he threw the pistol from his vehicle on the terrace of a bar and was able to leave. Thanks to quick professional actions, the Police Services have made it possible to identify, locate, catch and arrest the suspected author, citizen AM, 23 years old, resident of Burrel.

As material evidence, a pistol firearm, military ammunition, fire-conducting fuse, a detonator capsule and the "Benz" type vehicle, in which the 23-year-old was driving, were seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Dibër, for further actions./ CNA
