Checks by Tirana Traffic Police/ 93 drivers punished

Tirana Traffic Police has punished 93 drivers with administrative measures for various violations.

In implementation of the special plan of measures, drafted by the Tirana Road Police, for the control and verification of heavy tonnage vehicles and public transport vehicles, with the major objectives of meeting road safety parameters and preventing accidents, during the last 24 hours:

-The documentation of around 200 heavy-duty vehicles (concrete mixers), buses and vans has been checked.

Of these, 93 heavy-duty vehicles and mixed transport vehicles were found to have irregularities and their drivers were administratively punished. Specifically:

78 measures have been imposed on heavy tonnage vehicles for operating outside of designated hours;

5 measures have been imposed for driving without a transport certificate;

5 measures were put into circulation without a certificate of approval;

4 measures have been put in place for circulation with technical improvements;

1 measure has been imposed for driving with illegible license plates.
