Claims his life is in danger/ Aldo Bare's confidant appeals Britain's refusal of asylum

One of Aldo Bare's men has appealed the decision to refuse asylum from Great Britain. Maksim Çela has been convicted by the former Serious Crimes Court in Tirana for planning to detonate a bomb at the "Roza Haxhiu" stadium in Lushnja.

Çela served 23 years in prison for the murder of police officer Klenti Bano on April 14, 2000 and for other activities related to the Lushnja criminal gang.

In his asylum application, Çela claims that if he is not allowed to remain in the UK and returns to Albania, dangerous gangs will threaten his life out of revenge.

Home Office lawyers said in court that Maksim Çela is a dangerous thug who should be deported from Britain.

In December 2022, Çela traveled from Albania to Spain and then to the United Kingdom with a passport, which he admitted was a pardon. Aldo Bare's confidant arrived in the UK in January 2023./ CNA
