Kidnapped in Lezha/35-year-old man released

A few minutes ago, a 35-year-old man was raped and kidnapped on the Lezhë-Milot road.

D. GJ. was released by the hostage-takers and left in the middle of the street.

Police report that the 35-year-old is in Lezha hospital for medical attention, fortunately out of danger.

At around 2:30 p.m., in the parking lot of a bar on the "Lezhë-Milot" road, it is suspected that during a physical conflict, three citizens raped and then forcibly took away with a vehicle, citizen D. Gj., about 35 years old, resident of Lezhë.

Immediately after receiving the notification, the Lezha Police services set up checkpoints in the surrounding perimeter and on the connecting axes, with the aim of capturing the perpetrators, who were identified by the Police, specifically citizens KP, BV and Xh. E., all three residents of the village of Tresh.

Also, checkpoints were set up on the road axes towards Tirana, Shkodra and Kukës.

As a result of the immediate reaction of the Police and under the pressure of intensive Police controls, the perpetrators are suspected of having removed citizen D. Gj. from the vehicle, who is currently receiving medical assistance at the Lezha hospital and is out of danger to his life.

The investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, is working to clarify the circumstances and legally document the case.
