Intensive controls for noise pollution/ Business owners under investigation

The services of the Local Directorate of the Durrës Police, following the controls to guarantee order and security, as well as in implementation of the tasks left by the General Director of the State Police, during the meeting with the central and local leaders of the Police, have intensified the controls during the weekend, in order to solve the residents' concerns, from loud music in bars.

During the controls in several bars in different areas of the district, the Police services found loud music that caused concern for the residents and accompanied the owners of these bars to the police station.

Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status, for the criminal offense "Disruption of public peace", for citizens OD, 36 years old and Sh. K., 55 years old, both residents of Durrës.

As material evidence, the equipment that generated the music was seized.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Durrës, for further actions.

The State Police appeals to all administrators and owners of bars and hotels to strictly implement the law and rules regarding noise pollution, since in the event of noise pollution being detected, the Police services will seize the devices that generate music and to proceed according to the law, responsible citizens.
