A 37-year-old man convicted by the Criminal Court of Kosovo for participation in a criminal group, for the production, sale and trafficking of narcotics has been arrested by police in Elbasan.

Valmir Polisi was sentenced to over 9 years in prison for the criminal offenses of "Trafficking in narcotics" and "Production and sale of narcotics", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group. Of this sentence, the 37-year-old has 4 years, 7 months and 18 days left to serve.

The operation codenamed "Target" is being finalized, for the capture of a citizen convicted of participating in a criminal group, for the production, sale and trafficking of narcotics.

The 37-year-old, sentenced to over 9 years in prison by the Criminal Court, was arrested as a result of the well-organized work of the operational services of the Elbasan DVP, in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Force.

The citizen was hiding in a deep area in the village of Pishkash, and as soon as he noticed the police services, he attempted to leave.

As a result of the well-organized police actions, the operational services of the Elbasan DVP, immediately after providing information on the location of a member of a criminal group in the field of narcotics, finalized the operation codenamed "Target" in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Force.

As part of the operation, citizen Valmir Polisi, 37 years old, was captured in a deep area in the village of Pishkash.

The Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime has sentenced this citizen to 9 years and 4 months in prison for the criminal offenses of "Trafficking in Narcotics" and "Production and Sale of Narcotics", committed within the framework of a structured criminal group. From this sentence, citizen Valmir Polisi has 4 years, 7 months and 18 days of imprisonment left to serve.

The citizen will be handed over to the General Directorate of Prisons for further action. /CNA
