Forced ex-girlfriend to inhale cocaine/ Albanian man jailed in Great Britain

An Albanian man has been jailed for violent behavior towards his ex-girlfriend, which included controlling the clothes she wore, the friends she met, and forcing her to consume drugs.

Berajd Mazari, of Lark Rise, Brackley, in Northamptonshire, was charged with the offences in Banbury in 2024.

This month, a jury in Oxford found him guilty of controlling and coercive behavior, as well as possession of an imitation firearm.

The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis and cocaine and possession of a forged Italian license.

Mazari was acquitted of charges of intentional homicide, rape and kidnapping. He was convicted by Oxford Crown Court.

Mazari was jailed for 30 months and given a restraining order against the young woman and her mother for seven years./ CNA
