Serious in Durrës/ Patient dies during surgery, doctor accused of negligence

A 54-year-old woman has died during a surgical procedure in the city of Durrës.

According to reports, the 54-year-old woman was undergoing a gastric bypass surgery when her condition deteriorated and she passed away.

It is learned that a free trial has been initiated for the doctor who performed the intervention, the citizen with the initials I.SH, 59 years old.

"The Criminal Investigation Specialists of the Durrës Police Station referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings were initiated in a free state for the offense of "Neglect in Medical Treatment", against citizen I. Sh., 59 years old, resident of Durrës, with the duty of a doctor, after citizen M. Xh., 54 years old, resident of Durrës, lost her life during a surgical intervention in his clinic", - the Police announced. /CNA
