Journalist Klodiana Lala has revealed who the three central figures of the Durrës-based gang are.

Invited to the show "Opinion", the journalist said that the main group based in Durrës is Xhevdet Troplini's group, otherwise known by the nickname "Poja".

The journalist said that at least in the last ten years they are suspected of trafficking tons of cocaine.

"The main group based in Durrës, which is the group of Xhevdet Troplini, otherwise known by the nickname 'Poja', is mainly involved in the activity of trafficking narcotics, initially heroin because in 2005 he was arrested for heroin and then, after serving his sentence, he was released and has not been arrested again since then. At least in the last ten years they are suspected of trafficking tons of cocaine," says Lala.

The journalist said that the three main figures of this gang are Elvis Doçi, known as Visi i Pojës, Indrit Tafilaj, another nephew of Xhevdet Troplini, and Erind Lasku, who is married to Troplini's niece.

"Who are the main characters in the Durrës group? It's about Elvis Doçi, known as Visi i Pojës, who I see in the investigative file as the central figure, that is, the main wholesaler. He lives in Durrës. In the yard of one of his apartments, an amount of three million Euros in cash was found, last year. It was found buried. It is a fact and we have said it here on your show.

The other character is Xhevdet Troplini's other nephew, Indrit Tafilaj, who is also a main character unknown to the public. I have encountered him in several other files indirectly, not directly, and he turns out to be a central figure and the third person who is also connected to the drug trafficking part, so he is suspected of all the supply of other subgroups as the prosecution calls them mainly in Italy, but also in other countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, etc., while the supply was made from Ecuador.

"Erind Lasku, who is married to Xhevdet Troplini's niece, turned out to be the key character who collaborated with all passenger transport companies and brought in 100 million Lek per week from Italy through transport companies," the journalist emphasizes./ CNA
