Pogradec Municipal Police integrates online system for fines

This summer season, vacationers and tourists, but also citizens, are expected to have fewer "headaches" regarding improper vehicle parking or the occupation of public spaces.

Recently, the municipal police have been able to integrate administrative measures with an online system.

Thanks to this convenience for officers, it is expected that the traffic situation will be more controlled in the city and areas with heavy traffic, as until yesterday no one was being fined.

According to the director of the Territorial Protection Agency, Markel Hafesllari, in addition to working on illegal parking on the street, special focus will also be on implementing the resident sticker. Those who do not have one according to the neighborhood where they live and park anywhere will be fined.

"The municipal police have taken all measures to clear public spaces and illegal parking this tourist season. We have recently issued fines online, just like the state police, and for this, two police patrols will be engaged in the field for illegal parking that may result from the large influx of tourists this season."

We have done a good job with the parking directorate and we are also committed to resident stamps, which means that anyone who does not have a resident stamp will receive administrative measures. Everyone will be on the ground, car patrols, bicycle patrols, but there will also be police officers in every area with a focus on the city promenade, Tushemishti, Lini, as well as the city's neighborhoods. Soon, we will also have a phone number available for the operations room for any complaints from citizens ," said Hafesllari.

For the summer tourist season in Pogradec, 25 Municipal Police officers will be engaged, who will operate in close cooperation with the State and Road Police./ CNA
