A vehicle and a bag of money were stolen/Two young men were arrested in

A 25-year-old and an 18-year-old were identified, arrested and handcuffed a few hours after the theft, after a bag containing a significant amount of money was stolen from a vehicle. A portion of this amount of money was found in the 25-year-old's apartment.

Investigations suspect that the 25-year-old, with a criminal record for theft, attempted to steal from a vehicle 4 days ago, breaking its window. 

The Crime Investigation Specialists of the Velipojë Police Station, as a result of investigative actions carried out within the framework of the "Recently" operation to uncover thefts, have identified, captured and arrested the following citizens in flagrante delicto:  

AP, 25 years old, with a criminal record for theft and FU, 18 years old, both residents of Laç, Vau i Dejës municipality.

Investigations suspect that these citizens, yesterday afternoon, in the village of Pulaj Plazh, stole a bag containing a considerable amount of money in various currencies from the vehicle of citizen KN, a resident of this village.

Also, from the investigations, it is suspected that citizen AP, on 11.05.2025, in the village of Rrjoll, attempted to steal from a vehicle, breaking its window.

During the search of the apartment of citizen AP, the Police services found and seized part of the amount of money that was allegedly stolen from the vehicle of citizen KN. 

In cooperation with the Prosecution, investigations continue to uncover other thefts that may have been committed by the 2 arrested citizens.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecution Office for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Theft", committed in collaboration, and "Destruction of property". /CNA
