Anti-drug operation in Korça/ Details revealed, cocaine seized

Details have been revealed from the anti-drug operation in Korça. According to the police, two citizens, RD and AD, brothers, have been arrested.

During their physical search, cocaine was found divided into doses. The police seized 41.1 grams of cocaine, 3 cell phones and the vehicle that these citizens were using for this criminal activity.

"Specialists from the Narcotics Investigation Section of the Korça Police Department, as a result of investigative actions carried out with proactive methods for several months, cracked a case of the sale of hard drugs, in doses.

During the operation, in neighborhood no. 14, Korça, the Police services located and stopped the vehicle in which 2 citizens suspected of selling doses were traveling.

During the vehicle search and physical search of citizens RD and AD, the Police services found and seized a quantity of suspected narcotic substance Cocaine, divided into doses, ready for sale. Following the actions, during the search in the apartments of these citizens, another quantity of Cocaine was found.

At the end of the procedural actions, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of 'Production and sale of narcotics', committed in collaboration:

 RD, 30 years old, resident of Korça, previously convicted of the criminal offense of 'Production and sale of narcotics';

AD, 24 years old, resident of Korça, previously convicted of the criminal offense of 'Driving a vehicle in an irregular manner'.

A total of 41.1 grams of cocaine, 3 cell phones, and the vehicle that these citizens were using for this criminal activity were seized as material evidence.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues to identify and arrest other citizens who may have been involved in this criminal activity.

"The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Korça, for further action," the police announced./ CNA
