Details from the operation/ Contraband drugs worth 50,000 euros were seized,

Successfully finalized by the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in cooperation with the Sector of the Special Force of Special Operations and Research, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, the coded police operation "Rugëtimi".

16 citizens were arrested for selling and storing medical drugs, suspected of being smuggled.

2 others are wanted.

Various medical drugs, suspected to be smuggled, worth about €50,000, are seized

Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime in cooperation with the Sector of the Special Force of Special Operations and Research, following the work for the prevention, identification and attack of criminal activity in the field of smuggling of various goods, after an investigative work several months, followed by special investigation methods, organized and finalized the coded police operation "The Route".

As a result, security measures "Arrest in prison" were executed for citizens:

- DB, 39 years old, GB, 45 years old, EB, 35 years old, D. Th., 40 years old, EM, 42 years old, all residents of Tirana.

Also detained were citizens LB, 41 years old, resident of Fier, FM, 36 years old, resident of Berat, AH, 51 years old, EQ, 44 years old, AD, 45 years old, , SD, 31 years old, AH, 45 years old, GH, 64 years old, AS, 56 years old, TM, 30 years old, AB, 38 years old, living in Tirana.

Also, AC and LB citizens were declared wanted

From the verifications carried out, it was found that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, traded various medical drugs smuggled from Greece, Italy and Kosovo, which they then sold in various pharmacies in Tirana, Elbasan, Fier, and Vlora, with very high prices.

During the checks carried out as part of this operation, in several apartments and pharmacies in Tirana, Elbasan, Fier and Vlorë, the Police services found and seized as material evidence, significant quantities of medical medications, without fiscal stamps from the National Agency of Medicines and Medical Equipment, worth about 50,000 euros.
