They took bribes to allow a construction without permission/ Two police officers

The Elbasan Police has suspended two police officers, SN with the duty of assistant specialist of Community Policing, at the Belsh Police Station and GC, currently with the duty of assistant specialist (crime agent) at the Cërrik Police Station.

According to footage on the investigative show "Stop", these two police officers took bribes to allow construction without a permit. 

"Immediately after the broadcast of the footage on the investigative show "Stop", through which the citizen Y. Gj. claims that the Police officers took bribes, to allow an unauthorized construction, we inform you that:

The Director of the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, in accordance with Article 222 of the State Police Regulation, has immediately suspended from duty, until the case is fully clarified, 2 Police employees:

- SN inspector, with the duty of assistant specialist of Community Policing, at the Belsh Police Station;

-inspector GC, currently working as an assistant specialist (crime agent) at the Cërrik Police Station.

Meanwhile, the Directorate of Professional Standards in the State Police has launched a disciplinary investigation, to clarify the circumstances of the case and the claim of the citizen Y. Gj, who for this construction was criminally prosecuted by the Police on 04.06.2021.

The State Police thanks the citizens and the media who denounce such cases, as well as assures them that it is determined to remove from its ranks any police officer who abuses his duty", the police announce./ CNA
