Anti-drug operation in Lezha/ 158 kilograms of cannabis were seized, 5 people

The police have conducted an anti-drug operation in Lezha.

In a press conference, the head of the Lezha police, Alfred Elezi, announced that 158 ??kilograms of cannabis, 14 thousand euros and 15 mobile phones were found.

Elezi said that during the operation the brothers Mirash, Kristian and Florian Pima, Eduart Çoku and Fatmir Ukaj were arrested.

He stated that the work is continuing for the capture of 2 other persons, while two others have been processed at large.

The specialized structures of the Lezhë Local Police Directorate, after a several-week investigation, at the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Lezhë, also supported by the services of the Special Force "Shqiponja" and the Police Station The Mirdites have successfully completed the coded police operation "Priority".

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in the act:

– Mirash Pima, 29 years old, Kristian Pima, 29 years old and Florian Pima, 33 years old, brothers, all three residents of Ka?inar village, Mirditë;

– Eduart Çoku, 41 years old and Fatmir Ukaj (Tirtja), 24 years old, residents of Bulsharë, Mirdita.

Also, the work continues for the capture of citizens Nikolin Ndoca, 31 years old, resident of the village of Bulsharë, Mirdita, and Kristian Mena, 21 years old, resident of Fan, Mirdita.

Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings have started in free status for citizens Ndue Pima, 58 years old, resident of Ka?inar, Mirdita, and Elion Tirtja, 36 years old, resident of Bulsharë, Mirdita.

Based on the evidence obtained during the several-week investigation, control was exercised in the homes of these citizens, in the villages of Bulsharë and Ka?inar, in the district of Mirdita, where 158 kilograms of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa were found and seized as material evidence, a part ready for sale and a part in the process of drying.

Also, 280 suspected narcotic cannabis sativa plants that were cultivated in the village of Bulsharë, Mirditë, were destroyed.

Following the investigative actions, 14,000 euros suspected to have been obtained from this criminal activity, as well as 15 mobile phones, were seized.
