The shooting attack on a 28-year-old Albanian man, which happened in Manta, Italy on October 4, has been solved by the police.

The Albanian was shot in the chest by a small-caliber weapon, while traveling by vehicle to work.

Due to his injuries, the Albanian ended up driving in a dry canal, where he was found and then transported to the Santa Croce hospital in Cuneo, where he is in a serious state of health.

The assassin, who is suspected to have been a 29-year-old Albanian, Altin Jakini, was in a van when he shot at the car in Via Stazione.

The young Albanian was identified by street cameras. However, the motives of the assassination remain unclear, as it is not yet known if they knew each other.

"The case against the suspect is purely circumstantial. My client reserves the right to clarify the situation at the right time, it is not a coincidence that he has made himself available to voluntarily present himself to the police", said Enrico Gallo, the arrested's lawyer./ CNA
