Burim Duraku, who is accused of the criminal offense "Premeditated Murder in Cooperation", was released after a decision by the court of Kukes.

Based on the request submitted by the defense counsel Av. Sokol Tahiraj of Burim Duraku, Kukës Judicial District Court has accepted the request for termination of the security measure due to loss of detention power for exceeding the maximum investigative deadlines from the time determined pursuant to Article 261 / 1c / of the Code of Criminal Procedure , leaving him free.

Burim Duraku was arrested on 20.12.2019 after being wanted by the Greek justice.

Sipas burimeve, Duraku  dyshohet se vrau në Greqi në maj të vitit 2010 shtetasen Artemis Vasilopou.

Ngjarja sipas autoriteteve vendase ndodhi në vendin e quajtur Argostoli të Kefalinias të Greqisë, ku Duraku, në bashkëpunim me shtetasin Sh. D., të maskuar janë futur në banesën private të shtetases greke.

Pasi kanë tentuar pa sukses të shpërthenin me një mjet të mprehtë derën midis kuzhinës dhe sallonit, e cila ka qenë e kyçur, e kanë thyer derën dhe janë futur brenda.

Aty kanë gjetur shtetasen greke A. V., të cilës i kanë lidhur duart dhe këmbët me një shirit ngjitës. Më pas kanë grisur me thikën një copë xhakete dhe e kanë mbështjellë me shiritin ngjitës duke i zënë frymën e më pas i kanë vënë në kokë një qese plastike dhe si pasojë e asfiksisë ajo ka gjetur vdekjen.
