Accident in Canada/ Albanian doctor and lecturer Agron Alija passes away

An Albanian doctor in Canada has died as a result of a car accident. The news has been confirmed by the Albanian Embassy in Canada, while Ambassador Artemis Kosta Malo has offered her condolences to the family of the deceased.

Agron Alija served as a physician and Associate Professor at the London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

"With deep sorrow we learned the shocking news of the untimely passing of Doctor Agron Alija. On behalf of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Canada and on my own behalf, I express my most sincere condolences to the family of Doctor Agron Alija for this irreplaceable loss." 

Doctor Agron Alija was an emblematic figure of the Albanian community in Canada, a dedicated professional in the field of medicine and a man with a noble spirit who contributed with love, dedication and integrity to the service of people and the community, especially in Hamilton and London, where he served as a physician and Associate Professor at the School of Medicine and Dentistry.

His loss left a huge void not only for his family, but also for all those who were lucky enough to know and appreciate him. In these difficult moments, I express all my support and wish strength and patience to the family of Doctor Alija to cope with this loss. Rest in peace, Doctor Alija. The memory of you will forever remain in our hearts and minds, with respect, gratitude and deep longing for the noble man, the dedicated doctor and the dear friend that you were”, - writes the Albanian ambassador. /CNA
