On 30.01.2023, around 12:00, a 34-year-old citizen appeared at the Elbasan Maternity Hospital, performed an abortion procedure and then left for her apartment. Around 18:00 of the same day, it is suspected that due to health complications, this citizen notified the ambulance services, which transported her to the Elbasan Maternity Hospital, where this citizen died. For this case, the officers of the Judicial Police of the Prosecution at the Elbasan Judicial District Court have initiated criminal proceedings against citizens AP, 56 years old, and B. Gj., 60 years old, doctors at the Maternity Hospital of Elbasan, for the criminal offense "Negligence in medical treatment". . The work continues under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, for the clarification and complete legal documentation of this case.
