Zelensky, appeal to allies/ Testify for Ukraine the same unity you showed for

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday called on allies to show the same "unity" to Ukraine as they did to Israel when they thwarted Iranian airstrikes on Israel over the weekend.

"By defending Israel, the free world has shown that such unity is not only possible, but is 100 percent effective," said President Zelensky.

In a post on the Telegram network, President Zelensky thanked allies for sending more help to the Ukrainian air defense, but said that "the intensity of Russian attacks requires greater unity ", the same as they showed for the defense of Israel.

"The same thing is possible for the protection of Ukraine from terror, which, like Israel, is not a member of NATO", he continued.

He called on Ukraine's allies to show more "political will" as Ukraine is running out of ammunition and desperately needs more air defenses to repel Russian attacks.

President Zelensky issued his latest appeal for help from allies, saying Russia is causing "significant damage" every day.

The US aid package

House Speaker Mike Johnson is expected to decide this week how to proceed with President Joe Biden's $95 billion supplemental funding bill, which includes $60 billion for Ukraine and $14 billion for Israel.

The bill provides support to partners in the Indo-Pacific region as well as assistance to the US-Mexico border. The package was approved by the Senate, but is blocked in the House of Representatives./ VOA
