Zelensky invites the Chinese leader for dialogue

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has written a letter to Chinese leader Xi Jinping, inviting him for talks.

The letter was delivered to the Chinese delegation at the Forum in Davos by Olena Zelenska, the wife of the Ukrainian president.

Zelensky has repeatedly sought to establish contact with Xi Jinping since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in late February last year, hoping Beijing will use its influence over Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
