Astronomët duke përdorur teleskopin hapësinor Hubble kanë zbuluar molekula uji në atmosferën e një ekzoplaneti të vogël, të nxehtë flakërues, 97 vite dritë nga Toka, raporton CNN. 

Planeti, i quajtur "GJ 9827d", është rreth dyfishi i diametrit të Tokës dhe është ekzoplaneti më i vogël i gjetur që ka avuj uji në atmosferën e tij, sipas një studimi të ri.

Uji është thelbësor për jetën, por planeti nuk ka gjasa të presë ndonjë njeri, për shkak të temperaturave të larta që do ta kthenin një atmosferë të pasur me ujë, në avull përvëlues.

Gjetjet u shfaqën në një raport të botuar të enjten në The Astrophysical Journal Letters.

"Uji në një planet kaq të vogël është një zbulim historik," tha në një deklaratë bashkëautorja e studimit Laura Kreidberg.

Planeti arrin temperaturat prej 800 gradë Fahrenheit (427 gradë Celsius), duke e bërë atë një botë me avull, jomikpritëse që është po aq e nxehtë sa Venusi./CNA
