Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has reacted today to reports that he is suffering from a cardiovascular disease. In a post on the “X” platform, Sanchez says that this is a lie spread by the far right.

He emphasizes that he does not suffer from any disease, while adding that even if it were true, according to him, this would not be a problem.

"The far right has predicted the end of this government since day one. Now, they are also spreading lies about my health. The smear campaign always works the same way: they launch the rumor through a pseudo-media, their members of parliament amplify it, and their commentators cloud the public discourse.

"I don't suffer from any cardiovascular disease, but even if I did, it wouldn't be a problem. Millions of people suffer from them and live normal lives thanks to the public services you are dismantling. If your only form of opposition is to lie, that means we are really doing a good job. This government will last a long time ," Sanchez's post reads.

During a plenary session of the Spanish parliament, Cayetana Alvarez de Toledo, a lawmaker in the center-right Popular Party group, demanded that Justice Minister Felix Bolanos clarify whether the prime minister has any health problems. /CNA
