Turkey says it has carried out a number of airstrikes against Kurdish rebels in northern Iraq, hours after a suicide bombing hit the interior ministry in the capital Ankara, the BBC reports .
The ministry said 20 targets were destroyed and many militants from the banned PKK rebel group were "neutralized".
The PKK said the Sunday morning bombing was carried out by an affiliated group, one of whose members blew himself up.
