Japan shakes/ 6.4 magnitude earthquake causes panic

An earthquake measuring 6.4 on the Richter scale hit the west coast of the Japanese island of Shikoku. No tsunami threat has been issued by Japanese authorities, and there are no initial reports of injuries or damage from the earthquake.

The earthquake was felt at a depth of 50 kilometers, the epicenter was in the Bungo Channel, a line that separates the islands of Kyushu and Shikoku.

The tremor was also felt across a wide area of ??western Japan. No anomalies have been detected at the Shikoku Electric Power Nuclear Plant in Ikata in Ehime Prefecture.
