Saudi Arabia's Defense Ministry has announced that an attempted drone attack on the Ras Tanura oil refinery, one of the country's largest energy facilities, has been prevented.

According to the official statement, the attack was carried out by a drone, but initial assessments indicate that there was no material damage or casualties. Saudi authorities have not provided details on the origin of the drone or the possible perpetrators of the attack.

The Ras Tanura Refinery, considered one of the largest in Saudi Arabia and a key player in global oil exports, has been the target of attacks in the past, including incidents attributed to Iran in recent years amid regional tensions.
