"Managing the Growth of AI Responsibly"/ Melania Trump Holds Meeting

US First Lady Melania Trump hosted a meeting of the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence (AI) Education today with Task Force members and private sector leaders from US industry.

"I predict that AI will represent the largest growth category in our nation during the Trump Administration, and I would not be surprised if AI is recognized as the greatest engine of progress in the history of the United States of America. But, as leaders and parents, we must manage the growth of AI responsibly. During this primitive stage, it is our duty to treat AI as we would treat our children, empowering them, but with vigilant guidance. We are living in a moment of miracle, and it is our responsibility to prepare America's children," said First Lady Melania Trump.

This will be the second meeting of the White House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence Education since President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to Advance Artificial Intelligence Education for Young Americans on April 23, 2025.

This meeting, hosted by First Lady Melania Trump, will include speeches and private sector leaders are also part of more than 135 pledges made to support AI education across America.

Trump has been an advocate for online regulation of children and youth through her 'Be Best' initiative, which spurred bipartisan support for the 'Take it Down' Act, which was signed into law by President Trump on May 19, 2025./ CNA
