Skandali i korrupsionit në Parlamentin Europian/ Nuk ka liri për dy eurodeputetët

Duket se nuk ka liri për dy eurodeputetët e parlamentit europian të pëfshirë në skanadalin Qatargate.

Paraburgimi i eurodeputetës Eva Kaili dhe Marc Tarabella u zgjat të premten nga autoritetet belge.

Eurodeputetes greke Kaili, e cila u arrestua dhe u burgos në fillim të dhjetorit, i është zgjatur paraburgimi me dy muaj ndërsa homologu i saj belg do të dalë sërish para gjyqtarëve pas një muaji.

Të dy janë akuzuar për pjesëmarrje në një organizatë kriminale, korrupsion dhe pastrim parash, si pjesë e një hetimi për lobimin e paligjshëm të kryer nga Katari dhe Maroku në një përpjekje për të ndikuar në vendimmarrjen e BE-së. 

Të dy vendet i kanë mohuar me forcë pretendimet.

Avokati i Tarabellës, Maxim Töller, përsëriti në një deklaratë se klienti i tij është "një njeri i pafajshëm" dhe e quajti ndalimin e tij të vazhdueshëm si "të vështirë për t'u pranuar".

Ai megjithatë e përshëndeti "si një lajm të mirë" vendimin për ta transferuar atë "në një burg më afër familjes së tij"./CNA.al
