Former minister Genc Pollo has commented on Prime Minister Rama's statements regarding the tensions in the north of Kosovo on the border with Serbia.

According to Pollo, the causes of this tension should be sought in Belgrade, in Aleksandër Vucic and not in the Kosovo Serbs, who have their share of responsibility, but not enough to create these incidents.

"Nëse do të ishin vetëm serbët e Kosovës, siç thotë Edi Rama, do të ishte diçka lokale, dhe influenca e Beogradit do të bënte thirrje për ti qetësuar. Por prej mëse 12 vitesh, në veri të Kosovës, ne kemi një realitet tjetër. Nëse më parë kishte një situatë plurale, politikanë të zgjedhur, të partive kundërshtare me partinë e Vuçiç, do të kishim dhe vetëveprim, por në Mitrovicën e Veriut kemi një dominim absolut të Listës Serbe. Pra, është krijuar një sistem monopartiak me doza të forta kriminaliteti, me struktura mafioze që rivalizojnë për pushtet, merren vesh për pushtet edhe me të zgjedhurit e Listës Serbe dhe të dyja këto palë, kontrollohen direkt nga qeveria e Beogradit.
