Situation in the North/Police: There have been four gun attacks

The Kosovo Police has given details on the situation in the country.

In a press release, the Police say that the two border points Jarinje and Bërnjak continue to be blocked.

According to the Police, in four cases there were shots fired at police units, and in one case a detonation was heard. Fortunately, there are no reports of any citizens or police officers injured by firearms.

“Dy pikat kufitare Jarinje dhe Bernjak vazhdojnë të mbesin të mbyllura për qarkullim, për shkak të vazhdimit të bllokimit të rrugëve në drejtim të këtyre dy pikë kalimeve kufitare, të cilat janë bërë me mjete të rënda nga persona/grupe të organizuara kriminale.

Deri më tani janë raportuar katër raste ku qytetarët shqiptarë të cilët kanë qarkulluar në atë pjesë janë ndaluar dhe maltretuar, duke iu shkaktuar lëndime dhe shkaktim të dëmeve materiale në automjetet e tyre, nga ana e personave të dyshuar të cilët dyshohet se janë pjesë e organizimeve të bllokimit të rrugëve”, thuhet në njoftim.

The Kosovo Police has underlined that it will undertake all further actions in cooperation and coordination with the justice bodies, and that according to its official duties and legal authorizations it is continuing its commitments in providing security, maintaining order and public safety, implementing the decisions of the institutions of the RKS, as well as the undertaking of police measures in accordance with the situation and developments in the North of Mitrovica. /CNA.al
