'Welcome to the Union of Serbian Municipalities'/ The north of Kosovo wakes up with slogans

The four municipalities in the north of Kosovo woke up this morning with the message "Welcome to the Union of Serbian Municipalities".

On billboards and posters throughout Mitrovica of Kosovo, Leposaviq, Zubina Potok and Zveçan are the slogans "This is ZSO", symbols, but also messages in English promoting ZSO, writes RTS.

These messages have been displayed on the main promenade in the northern part of Mitrovica, as well as on the entrance and exit signs in four municipalities.

The situation in the North of Mitrovica became tense on Sunday afternoon, one day before the organization of the process for the registration of illegal license plates in the "RKS" began in Kosovo, in all Vehicle Registration Centers.

The Kosovo Police announced that the border points in Jarinje and Bernjak were closed, due to road blockages, and called on citizens to use other border points.

This caused the Kosovo government to postpone the decision to equip Serbian citizens with Kosovo documents and license plates in the territory of Kosovo to September 1, 2022./euronews
