Alarming situation from fires in Los Angeles/ Governor demands investigation into hydrants without water

California's governor has called for an investigation into how fire hydrants ran out of water, affecting the fight against wildfires in the Los Angeles area.

11 deaths are reported from the fires and it is estimated that more than 10,000 homes and other structures have been destroyed.

Other evacuations have been ordered as the Palisades fire progresses as officials work to bring the situation under control, which has been critical since Tuesday.

President Joe Biden described Los Angeles as a "war scene" as he warned that the death toll was "likely" to rise.

A forecast of more strong winds is raising fears the flames could spread further and a red flag warning, indicating critical fire conditions, has been activated in the country.
