Explosion in the center of Milan/ Several injured

A large explosion occurred in Milan, Italy, where several people were injured.

Other vehicles were also involved in the flames. The area is covered in smoke.

Italian media reports that the explosion occurred after a van with oxygen cylinders caught fire.

Four people were reportedly injured in the explosion that occurred in the Porta Romana neighborhood of the northern city.

The area has been surrounded by firefighters and police forces, while it is learned that children have been evacuated from a kindergarten that was located near the scene.  

The "ANSA" news agency says that according to initial information from the firemen and the police, the explosion may have been caused by a technical problem in the van./ CNA.al
