Fireworks factory explodes in Naples, Italy/ 18-year-old Albanian dies

A serious event happened yesterday in Naples, Italy, where three people, an 18-year-old Albanian and two sisters lost their lives as a result of the explosion of a fireworks factory.

Italian media reports that the fireworks factory where the three victims were located was illegal.

It is known that the young people had started work that day in that place, an illegal activity that had been established in the last few days.

"Inside were the son-in-law and the two daughters. They called us at 1pm and everything was fine. At 15:00 we were informed that the small factory had exploded. My son-in-law left behind my 17-year-old daughter and a four-month-old child", says the mother of the partner of Samuel Tafciu, the young man of Albanian origin among the three victims of the explosion at the illegal fireworks factory in Ercolano, in the province of Naples.

With him were Aurora and Sara Esposito, two sisters aged 19 and 24. The boy, the woman says, lived in their house in Herculaneum, not far from the scene of the tragedy. He turned 18 in June and the baby was born four months ago.

"It was his first day. The two daughters worked there to help their mother. We don't know what happened."

The noise from the explosion was also felt in several municipalities of the Vesuvian area adjacent to the city of Ercolano. Mayor Ciro Buonajuto confirmed that the activity was illegal, while no request was received from the Municipality or other bodies for the start of the activity./ CNA
