Parliamentary elections in Moldova/ Polls: Prime Minister Recean's party leads

A tropical storm could soon threaten parts of the southeastern U.S. coast as it heads northwest across the Atlantic on September 28, potentially bringing rains heavy enough to cause flash flooding.
The system is expected to strengthen into Tropical Storm Imelda by the evening and could briefly reach hurricane status by late Monday or Tuesday before weakening again. It could be at or near hurricane strength when it approaches the U.S. early next week, but it's still too early to say exactly what path the storm will take and whether it will interact with the still-strong Hurricane Humberto, currently a Category 4 storm.
Weather forecasters are watching with uncertainty and concern as Imelda approaches the southeastern coast of the U.S., where its exact path is still unpredictable.
Most models show the storm will stay offshore of the United States, although the storm is still expected to bring dangerous wave conditions and heavy rainfall to some southeastern states that could cause some flash flooding, forecasters said./ CNA
