Jakup Krasniqi spoke before the jury in The Hague, where he confessed that the people of Kosovo have been victims of violence by the Serbs for decades.

Krasniqi has stated that he was punished twice by the Serbian regime where he suffered torture.

"No prosecutor or judge is responsible for the torture they committed against me", said Krasniqi.

It was further stated that he was not involved in any murder, torture or criminal event.

"As Jakup Krasniqi, I have not been involved in any murder, torture, or criminal event. The Serbs committed genocide against us", continued Krasniqi.

Excerpts from his speech

I was surrounded by people who survived the Serbian genocide. I saw my father being tortured by the Serbs. We have been victims of Serbian violence for decades. They were sentenced to prison twice by the Serbian regime. They tortured me. No prosecutor or judge is responsible for the torture they have committed against me. Systematic violence has been perpetrated against our people. I hate violence, murder, torture, I consider them very low and inhumane. As Jakup Krasniqi, I have not been involved in any murder, torture, or criminal event. The Serbs committed genocide against us. On July 23, 1991, I was released from Novi Sad prison. The people of Kosovo were the most enslaved people. From the walls and buildings of Novi Sad, Kosovo was filled with 2 million Albanians./ CNA.al
