Rockets fired from Lebanon injured 11 people in central Israel on Saturday, emergency services said.
Fighting between Israeli forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah group has escalated since September, and hopes of a US-brokered ceasefire have already faded.
Hezbollah, the militant group and political party that controls much of southern Lebanon, has been declared a terrorist organization by the United States, while the European Union has blacklisted only the armed wing, but not the party, which has seats in Parliament of Lebanon.
"We went outside and saw dust, children screaming, women screaming and we all went to the hit house", said Qasim Mohab, resident of Tiras, where the rocket was thrown.
"We managed to evacuate the people who were inside the house and thanks to God, we are blessed because no one was killed."
At the time of the rocket strikes, Hezbollah said it targeted a military base on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.
Israel's ambulance services said 11 people were hit by the shells.
Air raid sirens were heard in northern Israel as the strikes were carried out from Lebanon, the Israeli military said.
On Friday, Lebanese health authorities said 52 people had been killed in Israeli strikes in dozens of towns in the Baalbek region.
The Israeli military said on Saturday that it had killed two Hezbollah commanders in the Tiras region on Friday. Hezbollah has not commented on these statements.
Iran-backed Hezbollah has launched attacks on Israel in a show of support for its Palestinian ally Hamas - also designated a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union.
On October 7 of last year, Hamas attacked southern Israel, killing over 1,200 people and taking about 240 hostages.
Israel then launched a war in Gaza with the aim of destroying the group.
As a result of the Israeli campaign in Gaza, more than 43,000 people, mostly women and children, have been killed, according to Palestinian health authorities.
From the offensive launched by Israel in Lebanon, at the beginning of October, at least 2,890 people have been killed, according to the Lebanese authorities./REL
