The government of Kosovo helps Bosnia with 200 thousand euros after the floods

The government of Kosovo announced that it will help Bosnia and Herzegovina with 200,000 euros after the deadly floods that hit the regional country earlier this month. It said it made this decision during an electronic meeting late Friday.

Days ago, the Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, had asked the cabinet of Prime Minister Albin Kurti to allocate this amount of money to support the Balkan country.

At least 22 people lost their lives in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a result of floods and landslides following heavy rains that began on October 4. Earlier this week, the Bosnian Cultural Center in Kosovo's southern city of Prizren began a campaign to collect aid for residents affected by the deadly floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The initiator of this initiative with the motto "Bosnia, the Bosnians of Prizren are with you" is one of the political representatives of the Bosnian community in Kosovo, Emilija Rexhepi, who is also the deputy prime minister of Kosovo.
