A serious incident took place in Greece, in Neos Kosmos, where a 46-year-old man of Albanian origin hit police officers with an ax, injuring one of them.

The whole incident happened after the 46-year-old man lost consciousness after firing a firearm in the air.

According to the information, everything happened around 19:30 in the afternoon when the authorities received a complaint about a person who was in a house on Theoklitou street and shot in the air.

Officials from Athens DIAS (Acropolis team) immediately went to the scene, where the woman who had called the police was waiting for them with her son, both in a state of shock.

When the police arrived, the 46-year-old man of Albanian origin entered the house and observed what was happening hidden behind a curtain.

Then, according to the information, DIAS police officers pretended to leave the scene, but two of them entered the balcony of the house, waiting for the perpetrator to come out again.

The 46-year-old man went out on the balcony, but instead of a gun, he was carrying a big ax. When he saw the policemen, he attacked them and slightly wounded one of them in the hand, and then he was arrested./ CNA
