Protests in Serbia/ Vu?i?: There will be no pardon, I warned them 500 times

Following massive protests in Serbia, President Aleksandar Vu?i? declared that there will be no pardons or removal of criminal charges for those who have been warned 500 times not to take part in the violence.

In his address to the public, Vu?i? said that there will be many more arrests due to the attacks on police that occurred last night, following protests by students who blocked faculties.

"This is not the end, people are being identified, this is what the BIA is working on. I ask the competent prosecution to do its job, not to behave as incompetent and naive. The time for responsibility is coming. I will not sign an apology, any kind of waiver of the continuation of criminal prosecution of those whom we have warned five hundred times not to participate in violence. We will make a fair distinction towards, let's say, the students of the Faculty of Architecture and some other faculties who clearly said: 'Yes, we think the worst about Vu?i?, but we will not participate in violence'. There is a big difference between them and those who consciously wanted to provoke bloodshed," Vu?i? said./ CNA
