Protest in The Hague/ Former Ambassador: The KLA was NATO's foot in Kosovo

On the third day, supporters of former KLA leaders protested near the Specialist Chambers in The Hague.

Many protesters held banners in support of the KLA, in Albanian and English.

Also present at the rally was the former Dutch ambassador to Pristina, Robert Bosch, who stated that there was pressure from European countries to create the Special Court.

The former ambassador also recalled a meeting with former President Thaçi, where he said he had told him not to worry because he would be released due to lack of evidence.

Bosch further said that calling the KLA a criminal organization is also an insult to NATO, as NATO does not cooperate with criminal organizations.

 

"We have had pressure from our countries to request the creation of the Special Court and why I did not like it. I met Mr. Thaçi and told him not to worry because if it is a fair trial you will be free due to lack of evidence. Unfortunately I was wrong, because the trial was not as fair as I expected. The KLA was NATO's foot in Kosovo. Calling the KLA a criminal organization, while it works for NATO is an insult to NATO as well. NATO does not cooperate with criminal organizations ," said Bosch.
