Gunfight in the center of Podujeva/ Four injured

A serious shooting incident rocked the city center of Podujeva on Thursday, leaving four people injured. The incident, which occurred at around 1:30 p.m., is suspected to have been motivated by a prior dispute between the parties involved, who, according to the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina, have a family relationship of nephew and uncle.

According to preliminary investigations, three of the injured were active participants in the fight, while the fourth person was a bystander at the scene. The injured were immediately transported to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo. The Director of the Emergency Clinic, Naser Syla, confirmed that, despite the serious injuries, the health condition of the injured is stable.

The justice authorities have initiated proceedings for the criminal offense of "attempted aggravated murder" against the persons involved in the fight. The Kosovo Police continues its investigative work to fully clarify the circumstances of this incident, which raises concerns about the large number of illegal weapons circulating in the country. /CNA
