Tragic in Greece/ Albanian minor found drowned in swimming pool of a house

A serious incident occurred on Thursday afternoon in the Messinia region of Greece, where a 6-year-old child was found unconscious in the swimming pool of a residence.

According to Greek media, the child was with his mother, 32 years old, an Albanian citizen, who worked as a cleaner in a two-story villa. The minor is suspected to have escaped the attention of his mother while she was cleaning the upper floor of the apartment.

A little later, the Albanian woman found the boy in the pool with no signs of life. An ambulance was immediately called and emergency teams arrived at the scene and tried to revive him.

The child was urgently transported to the Pylos Health Center, but despite the efforts of doctors and rescue teams, he passed away.

Greek authorities have launched an investigation to clarify the full circumstances of the incident. A forensic examination has also been ordered to determine the exact cause of death. /CNA
