Shopping center in Kosovo engulfed in flames/No injuries

A shopping center in Suhareka, Kosovo, is engulfed in flames.

Kosovo media reports that several shops have been burned, while firefighters are at the scene to help extinguish the flames, as they have reached large proportions, as can be seen in the photo.

It is reported that only material damage was caused and fortunately no one was injured.

Police Announcement: 

"Today, 19.01.2025, at around 06:17, a fire was reported to have broken out at the ETC shopping center in Suhareka. Firefighters, police and KEDS have arrived at the scene.  

The fire has reached large proportions. Firefighters are working to extinguish it. For the time being, the risk of the fire spreading further has been eliminated.

"As a result of the fire, significant material damage has been caused, but no injuries have been reported so far. The police will investigate the case as a fire incident," Prizren Police Spokesperson Shaqir Bytyçi told media in Kosovo.
