After the victory, Trump goes to the White House today, expected by Biden

The American President, Joe Biden, will welcome the Republican Donald Trump to the White House, after his victory in the American presidential elections on November 5.

The meeting in the Oval Office is scheduled to take place at 11:00 a.m. local time in Washington (5:00 p.m. local time in Pristina).

Before the meeting with Biden, Trump is scheduled to meet with Republican leaders in the US Congress. The Republican Party will have control of the Senate and is likely to take the majority in the House of Representatives.

Biden, 81, called Trump, 78, after the election to congratulate him on his victory and invited him to a meeting at the White House.

While Democrats have described Trump as a threat to democracy, Biden has nevertheless vowed to have a peaceful transfer of power and adhere to the usual protocols for the process.
