There is no peace for Gaza even during the ceasefire/ Over 100 people lose their

The Gaza Health Ministry and the Civil Defense Agency have reported that the death toll from Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip has risen to over 100.

The Health Ministry in Gaza, which is run by Hamas - the Palestinian group designated a terrorist organization by the United States and the European Union - reported 104 deaths from the latest Israeli attacks.

Meanwhile, the Civil Defense Agency said that at least 101 Palestinians were brought to hospitals, "including 35 children and a number of women and the elderly," who were killed "during Israeli attacks carried out in less than 12 hours."

A day earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered "powerful" attacks on Gaza, while the Israeli military later said that one of its soldiers had been killed in Gaza.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that despite Israeli strikes in response to the killing of a soldier, the ceasefire he brokered three weeks ago is not in danger.

The American leader said Israel has the right to retaliate.

"As I understand it, they killed an Israeli soldier," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. "So the Israelis retaliated, and they have to retaliate. When something like that happens, they have to retaliate ," he added.

An Israeli military official said the radical Palestinian group had violated the ceasefire agreement by attacking Israeli forces stationed inside the so-called "yellow line" - the line for the deployment of troops, according to the ceasefire agreement.

Hamas denied attacking Israeli soldiers.

The Gaza ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, ending two years of war that was sparked by Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Since it came into effect, both sides have accused each other of violating the ceasefire.

During the October 7 attack, Hamas killed nearly 1,200 people and kidnapped 251 others.

As a result of the Israeli offensive, more than 67,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, the territory has suffered extensive destruction and residents are facing a humanitarian crisis. /REL
