Germany's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Annalena Baerbock, continues to be accused of being involved in the visa scandal that made it possible to obtain Schengen visas with forged documents for several citizens of Afghanistan, Syria and Turkey.

While officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have said that the visas were issued in accordance with the current rules of the country and that only 19 cases are being investigated, it is learned that hundreds of cases are being examined, Schengen.News.news.info reports.

As the German magazine "Focus" explains, Minister Baerbock was "caught" as being involved in the visa scandal in February 2023, with reports indicating that some individuals may be secret foreign agents.

The pressure on her and the ministry and its officials is increasing significantly now that there is evidence that a number of foreign nationals have been able to enter the territory of Germany with "Schengen" visas obtained through forged documents.

According to a report by Cicero, Minister Baerbock allegedly brought Pakistanis to Germany illegally through a hosting program targeting Afghan nationals. /CNA
