The Serbian Ministry of Defense denies that it is training groups at its ranges

The Ministry of Defense of Serbia has denied the accusations made by the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, that members of the group that attacked the Kosovo Police in Banjska in Zvecani on September 24 are training in some military training grounds.

"It is a lie and complete absurdity that the training grounds of the Armed Forces of Serbia are being used for the training of any unit, with the exception of the units of the Armed Forces of Serbia and occasionally also of the Ministry of Internal Affairs," said the minister. , also denying that there are plans for attacks on the territory of Kosovo.

Earlier on December 23, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, declared that Millan Radoicic, and as he said, his group, are preparing to carry out new attacks on Kosovo.

Radoicic, former vice-president of the Serbian List, has taken responsibility for the attack in Banjska, where a Kosovo policeman was killed. During the clashes that followed on September 24, three more Serb attackers were killed. Kosovo blames Serbia for the attack, but Belgrade denies any involvement. Kurti mentioned several locations in Serbia, including military ranges, where he claimed members of Radoicic's group are training.

The Kosovar prime minister claimed that a group of 80 people who left Kosovo are continuing the exercises at the Zimovnik range, near Rashka, and that the exercises are being led by retired Serbian soldiers.

Also, he mentioned the training ground of the Serbian army in Peshter, where, according to him, the exercises of a group of 60 people of "Civil Defense", which Kurti said participated in the attack in Banjska, have resumed.

"This group had planned attacks on our Police after the end of the elections in Serbia in the border locations connected to the illegal alternative routes," Kurti said, saying that this group consists of Radoicic's trusted people.

Kurti also mentioned a plan for an attack in November to, he said, recapture Radoicic's villa near Lake Ujman, which Kosovar authorities seized after the September 24 attack. However, Kurti said that all these plans are destined to fail. , emphasizing that Kosovo is prepared to repel any attack.

During the press conference, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, presented photographs, maps and other materials related to the event in Banjska.

He also provided information on the suspects in the attack, publishing photos and other personal information about them.

Sveçla said that from 2021 until now, the Kosovo Police has been the target of 114 attacks in the north, mainly carried out by the group that, according to him, carried out the attack in Banjska./ Rel
